ACT JeepTrAction started life as a way of enjoying Jeep ownership between a few local Jeep owners. There were no elected officials or committees, no AGMs, no treasurers, it was simply a group of like-minded individuals whose sole interest was using their Jeeps in the company of others. Over a short period of time interest had grown and the idea of forming a club was explored. Today, ACT JeepTrAction is a fully functioning not for profit organisation. Its structure allows the club to remain flexible and to ensure we are always working in our member’s best interest. The club is aimed at the beginner to intermediate level and we cater for the needs of those new to Jeep or 4-Wheel Drive ownership by helping with access to professional advice, tuition and support.
The club encourages safe and responsible attitudes to off road driving and exerts no pressure on members to tackle obstacles they do not feel comfortable with. Members also arrange numerous social events, demonstrating the club is more than just about the vehicles, it's about the people as well.
Melbourne Jeep Owner's Club (MJOC)
The Melbourne Jeep Owners Club was established in 1997 and has grown to become the largest active Jeep Owners Clubs in Australia. The club is a thriving, proactive club with over 300 enthusiastic members from all age groups from around Victoria (predominantly from greater Melbourne). Most Jeep models are represented. New members are made very welcome and are encouraged to join in the regular club activities, trips, driver training and social events.
The club has a large number of qualified and experienced trip leaders who run trips from easy and leisurely scenic drives on, to more challenging and difficult tracks, right through to the most extreme. The club runs regular training courses for members from Basic Proficiency (a requirement before going on a trip), Advanced, and Trip Leader courses, as well as other specialist courses, such as First-Aid, Chainsaw, and even Extreme 4WD’ing.
MX5 Club of NSW
The Mazda MX-5 Club of NSW Inc. was established in 1989 to foster regular activities for its members, all of whom have one thing in common – the enjoyment of owning and driving the Mazda MX-5. The Club now has over 800 members and organises events all around the state from Sydney, Canberra, Hunter, Illawarra, Blue Mountains and Mid North Coast.
MX5 Club of Victoria & Tasmania
The Mazda MX-5 Club of Victoria & Tasmania was formed in August 1990, boasting the largest inaugural membership of any CAMS-affiliated Club. The club has over 600 members who enjoy getting out onto road and enjoying the Australian country side. Events are typically held on Sundays, with some on Saturdays and some mid-week, finding the best MX-5 roads and ending up somewhere for a picnic or lunch at a restaurant; it’s here where we chat and compare notes about the cars (mostly just chat!).
